This double-sided Kessa sponge combines the exfoliating and toning properties of the Kessa glove with the softness of the sponge to cleanse and apply your skincare products to the face and body. Handcrafted in Morocco with the greatest care and the finest fabrics, this sponge is practical and versatile thanks to its two sides:

One side in viscose crêpe made from plant fibres, with a slightly exfoliating wavy texture, perfect for exfoliating imperfections and stimulating microcirculation.
A cotton towelling side with a terry texture for cleansing and removing make-up, or perfect for applying skincare products.

Thanks to its reversible elastic strap, it's easy to hold and can be used on either side!

It comes with a little crêpe fabric loop for easy hanging in the bathroom.

Which side should I use? It depends on what you're going to use it for

Sponge side

For removing make-up and cleansing the face and body, or for applying skincare products (milks, lotions, liniments, etc.).

Kessa side

To stimulate microcirculation, tone tissues, unclog pores and remove dead cells without irritating the skin.

How do I use a Kessa sponge?

With Moroccan black soap, the same way you would in a hammam

Step 1

Moisten your skin with warm or hot water to open the pores and promote the "hammam" effect.

Step 2

Apply the Moroccan black soap to damp skin and leave for about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Exfoliate your skin with the exfoliating side of the Kessa sponge, using circular movements.

Step 4

Rinse your skin with warm water and remove any soap residue with the sponge side.

Step 5

Moisturise and nourish your skin with a body care product.

Use on its own or with soap or shower gel

Step 1

Moisten your skin with warm or hot water to open the pores and promote the "hammam" effect.

Step 2

Apply the soap/shower gel and/or exfoliate your skin with the exfoliating side of the Kessa sponge, using circular movements.

Step 3

Rinse your skin with warm water and remove any soap/shower gel residue and dead skin with the sponge side.

Step 4

Moisturise and nourish your skin with a body care product.

To cleanse the face

Step 1

Moisten face with warm water.

Step 2

Wet the sponge and rub in the soap of your choice or a little cleansing gel.

Step 3

Apply all over the face for thorough cleansing.

Step 4

Rinse the Kessa sponge then remove the soap/cleansing gel with the clean sponge side.

Step 5

Moisturise and nourish your skin with a facial treatment.

To remove make-up

Step 1

Lightly dampen the Kessa Sponge

Step 2

Apply a little make-up remover to the sponge side.

Step 3

Apply all over the face for complete make-up removal.

Cleaning and maintenance

To preserve its quality, wash the sponge by hand with cold or lukewarm water and Palm Oil-Free, Plant-Based, Marseille Soap Cube - 300g after each use. Rinse with hot water and then air dry. To ensure it lasts as long as possible, the sponge should not be left damp after use: we recommend you always hang it up to dry by its crêpe fabric handle. Optimum life: 6 months

We do not recommend washing the Kessa sponge in a washing machine.
