This amber glass bottle is perfect for making and storing your aromatherapy and cosmetic blends. Its dropper pipette can be used to extract and measure out aqueous and oily liquids.

Instructions for use

• For a cosmetic preparation, pour the mixture into the bottle using a funnel or a transfer pipette if desired.

• For an aromatherapy preparation, you can dose the essential oils by counting the drops directly into the bottle.

The dropper is used as follows:

Cleaning

• The bottle and dropper pipette can be easily cleaned in hot soapy water using our cleaning brushes.

• Prepare a tub of warm soapy water.

• Fully immerse the bottle and glass pipette in this water and press down on the black teat, then release the pressure to suck up the hot soapy water to clean the inside of the pipette.

• Apply further pressure to the teat to release the hot soapy water.

• Repeat the pumping process several times until the pipette is clean.

• Rinse with clean water.

Disinfection

"Thermal" disinfection of the blue glass bottle only:

• Submerge the glass bottle in boiling water for five minutes.

• Dry thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth.

OR

"Chemical" disinfection of the blue glass bottle and the glass dropper pipette:

• Rinse the bottle with alcohol. For the pipette, repeat the cleaning procedure by pumping described above in a bath of alcohol to disinfect both the inside & outside of the glass pipette.

• Allow to Air dry.

• Amber glass is primarily made from sand, limestone, and soda, with smaller amounts of alumina-based materials and cullet, which is recycled glass. A secondary component, cobalt, is responsible for the colour of the glass, amber in this case.

• The soda-lime glass used for the dropper is the most common type of glass. It is made from silica, calcium, and sodium and is widely used in the manufacture of bottles and containers. It accounts for approximately 90% of global glass production.
