Properties

Sea fennel essential oil is recognised for its health properties:

  • Diuretic

  • Anti-cellulite

  • Firming, regenerating

  • Detoxifying

  • Anti-parasitic

Uses

It is traditionally used to improve the following situations:

  • Hydrolipid retention, cellulite, adiposity, obesity

  • Parasitosis, parasitic enterocolitis

Synergies

  • Slimming, toning: Cedar, Common sage and Fennel essential oils

In practice

Slimming, toning: Mix into your oil blend. Apply your mixture locally, first with a gentle massage, then quite vigorously to the targeted areas, starting from the extremities for the limbs and working upwards for the back.

Digestive cleansing: Mix into your oil blend. Massage or rub your mixture into the abdomen.

Precautions

  • Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding, or on children under 6 years of age.

  • Use for a limited period.

  • Not for internal use.

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • Avoid contact with eyes.

  • Certain natural compounds contained in this essential oil may pose an allergy risk to sensitive individuals when incorporated into a cosmetic composition (according to the 7th Amendment of the European Directive on cosmetic products (2003/15/EC)): limonene and linalool.

  • As a general rule, always perform a patch test of your mixture on the crook of your elbow at least 48 hours before use.

  • Dangerous. Follow safety precautions.

  • Flammable liquid and vapour. May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways (if accidentally ingested, do not induce vomiting). Toxic to aquatic life, causing long-term adverse effects (in case of a large spill into a watercourse).

Sea fennel is a small maritime plant that is salt- and drought-resistant, very rich in minerals, vitamin C and beta-carotene, and has diuretic properties.

These properties were well known to ancient sailors, who took bags of it with them on long voyages to prevent scurvy.

However, these spoon ratios depend on a number of factors (e.g. viscosity of the liquid, temperature, depth and size of the spoon, rheological behaviour of the liquid), and we strongly advise you to use precise measuring equipment, such as graduated test tubes, graduated pipettes, and precision scales.

Recommended container: glass jar Ingredients for 50 ml :

  • Aloe vera gel: 40 ml

  • Vegetable glycerine: 10 ml

  • Organic sea fennel essential oil: 30 drops

  • Organic Propolis plant tincture: 5 drops

  • Natural vitamin E: 4 drops

Procedure : Pour the Aloe vera gel and vegetable glycerine into the bowl, then stir gently with the mini whisk. Add the sea fennel essential oil, Propolis plant tincture and Vitamin E. Mix again and pour into the jar.

Express slimming roll-on with eight essences (S. Macheteau)

  • a synergy of 8 essential oils (10% dilution)

  • 4 essential oils acting as venous tonics:

  • 10 drops of mastic tree essential oil

How to use: Pour the carrier oil into the roll-on. Add the 80 drops of essential oils. Shake the bottle vigorously to mix all the essential oils.

Cautions: As this product contains essential oils, do not use during pregnancy.
