Properties

In terms of health, rock samphire essential oil is recognized for the following properties:

  • Diuretic

  • Anti-cellulite

Uses

It is traditionally used to improve the following situations:

  • Hydrolipid retention, cellulite, adiposity, obesity

  • Parasitosis, parasitic enterocolitis

Synergies

  • Slimming, toning: Cedar, Common sage and Fennel essential oils

In practice

Slimming, toning: Mix into your oil blend. Apply your mixture locally, first with a gentle massage, then quite vigorously to the targeted areas, starting from the extremities for the limbs and working upwards for the back.

Digestive cleansing: Mix into your oil blend. Massage or rub your mixture into the abdomen.

Precautions

  • Do not use on pregnant or breastfeeding women, or on children under 6 years of age.

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • Not for internal use.

  • Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

  • Certain natural compounds contained in this essential oil may present a risk of allergy in some sensitive individuals when the essential oil is incorporated into a cosmetic composition.

  • Avoid old or oxidized essential oils. Store away from light and air.

  • As a general rule, always test your preparation on the inside of your elbow at least 48 hours before use.

  • For use as a cosmetic ingredient, please refer to the specific precautions.

Sea fennel (or christe marine) is a small maritime plant, resistant to salt and drought, very rich in minerals, vitamin C, and beta-carotene, and has diuretic properties.

These properties were well known to sailors in ancient times, who carried bags of it with them on their long voyages to protect themselves from scurvy.

Mass / Volume conversion (for a liquid)

Mass (g) = Density x Volume (ml) at 20°C

1 full teaspoon = between 3 and 4.5 ml

1 full tablespoon = between 7.5 and 10 ml


However, these spoon ratios depend on a number of factors (e.g. viscosity of the liquid, temperature, depth and size of the spoon, rheological behaviour of the liquid), and we strongly advise you to use precise measuring equipment, such as graduated test tubes, graduated pipettes, and precision scales.

Recommended container: glass jar Ingredients for 50 ml:

  • Aloe vera gel: 40 ml

  • Vegetable glycerin: 10 ml

  • Organic sea fennel essential oil: 30 drops

  • Organic propolis vegetable tincture: 5 drops

  • Natural vitamin E: 4 drops

Method: Pour the aloe vera gel and vegetable glycerin into the bowl, then stir gently with the mini whisk. Add the sea fennel essential oil, propolis plant tincture, and vitamin E. Mix again and pour the mixture into the jar.
