Use essential oils with moderation and caution. Essential oils are very powerful.
Essential oils should not be applied to the eyes, around the eyes or in the ears. In the event of contact, apply a neutral carrier oil generously, then rinse with water. Seek medical advice as soon as possible. Essential oils must be diluted for application to mucous membranes.
Always keep essential oils out of the reach and sight of children. For their safety, never remove the capsule from essential oil bottles.
Some oils can be irritating or particularly sensitising. Most essential oils are best applied to the skin diluted in a carrier oil. We recommend that you always carry out a skin tolerance test in the crease of the elbow for at least 48 hours before using any oil, pure or diluted on the skin. If you notice any reaction (redness, irritation, tingling…), do not use the mixture.
Essential oils
The essential oils of Angelica, Bergamot, Celery, Lemon, Lime, Lovage, Tangerine, Orange, Blood Orange, Grapefruit, Tagetes, Sweet Verbena and St John's Wort oily macerate may be photosensitising. After using these oils, do not expose yourself to the sun or UV rays for 8 to 10 hours.
Some essential oils may be irritating, particularly sensitising or may be toxic in large doses or over the long term: Yarrow, Garlic, Ajowan, Bitter almond, Dill, Green anise, Holy basil, Tropical basil, Copahu balm, Bay St Thomas, Yellow birch, Ceylon cinnamon (bark and leaf), Chinese cinnamon, Caraway, Atlas cedar, Himalayan cedar, Cumin, Curcuma, Cypress de Provence / evergreen, Tarragon, Eucalyptus cryptone, Eucalyptus globulus, Eucalyptus mentholated, Sweet fennel, Gaultheria couchée, Gaultheria odorante, Clove (nail and leaf), Italian Helichrysum, Inula odorante, Khella, Lantana, Laurel, Lemongrass, Pistachio Mastic, Lemon Linden, Lovage, Melissa, Field Mint, Peppermint, Spearmint, St John's Wort, Nutmeg, Oregano compact, Oregano kaliteri, Oregano vulgaris, Parsley, Patagonian Pine, Scots pine, Rosemary (camphor), Rosemary ( verbenone), Damask rose, Balsam fir, Prickly fir, Mountain savory, Wild thyme, Tagetes, Annual tansy, Turpentine, Thyme, Thymebush, Sweet verbena, Ylang-Ylang. For more information on the specific precautions to be taken with each essential oil, please consult the respective data sheets available on our website www.aroma-zone.com.
As a general rule, we advise against the use of essential oils by pregnant or breast-feeding women, people with epilepsy, people with hypersensitivity or hormone-dependent cancer, and more generally those with health problems. Unless advised by a doctor, do not use essential oils on babies or children under the age of 3. For children over 3, use only under medical supervision.
Injections of essential oils are strictly forbidden.
If you suffer from respiratory allergies or asthma, avoid inhaling essential oils directly.
Do not combine essential oils with medicinal treatments without medical advice.
Consult a doctor for any therapeutic indication or oral treatment. Essential oils should be diluted on a carrier such as edible oil, honey, sugar or a neutral tablet for oral use.
In the event of accidental ingestion, rinse out the mouth with edible carrier oil. Contact a poison control centre immediately and seek medical advice. Do not induce vomiting. If possible, it is advisable to swallow 1 or 2 spoonfuls of edible carrier oil to dilute the essential oil.
If you have any doubts or questions, do not hesitate to ask your doctor for advice.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PREPARING
Before you start making your own cosmetics, here are a few warnings:
Some ingredients may be allergenic: always carry out a test application of your blend in the crease of the elbow over an area of about 1 cm² for at least 48 hours to check that there is no reaction (tingling, redness, respiratory discomfort,…) before using your blend.
All cosmetic products containing an aqueous phase (water, hydrolat) are highly sensitive to microbiological contamination. It is therefore essential to observe perfect hygiene when making "homemade" creams:
Disinfect the utensils and containers you are going to use: either by boiling them for 10 minutes (excluding plastic containers and pumps) and then drying them carefully with a clean, dry cloth, or by rinsing them with chemist's alcohol (excluding gloss containers, small bubble jars, mini-poudriers, flat cases and 40 and 80 ml poudriers that are not alcohol-resistant: sterilised in boiling water) and then leaving them to air dry.
Wash your hands thoroughly beforehand or wear clean gloves.
Avoid your hands coming into contact with the blend and ingredients.
Keep your highly sensitive blends cool and use them quickly.
Use proven preservatives such as Cosgard Aroma-Zone (respect the dosage).
Some ingredients may need to be heated considerably. Care must be taken to avoid burns and splashes. It is advisable to wear safety goggles.
Your blends must be carefully labelled, dated and kept out of reach of children.
Follow the dosage instructions. When preparing your products, fill in a traceability booklet, noting the composition of your product and the batches of ingredients used, as well as the date of manufacture.
