A shrub typical of the garrigue region and the Mediterranean region, rosemary is highly prized as a flavouring in cooking, for stews, grilled food, sauces and even desserts. This aromatic plant is also widely renowned in phytotherapy for its multiple properties, notably as a choleretic, a relaxant and an expectorant, and is highly prized in perfumery, especially in men's fragrances.

Rosemary has a legendary reputation as a cure for all ills and a skincare treatment. It is the main ingredient in 'Queen of Hungary water', the rosemary alcoholate which, in the 14th century, is said to have miraculously restored health and youth to Queen Elisabeth of Hungary, then in her seventies. Hungary Water, enriched with other notes, notably bergamot and lavender, was a very famous perfume until the 17th century, and is said to have been the favourite perfume of Madame de Sévigné and Madame de Maintenon at the court of Louis XIV, where it was renowned for its revitalising effects. In aromatherapy, there are several chemotypes of rosemary essential oil, as the plant develops a different chemical composition depending on where and under what conditions it is grown. Each chemotype has its own specific properties and uses.

I love this essential oil diffused in my office.

It's a shame that some products are out of stock; I had to buy them from the pharmacy instead of you, and in small quantities.

I use it for my hair care on my scalp, I've only tried it twice, so it's a bit early to know the result
