Interview with Dr Pierre Schneider

Member of our Aroma-Zone College of Dermatologists

Our College of Dermatologists

Dr Pierre Schneider is a dermatologist in private practice in the Paris region. We are honoured to welcome him to our College of Dermatologists.

You have practised at Saint Louis Hospital and in private practice. Today, you work exclusively in private practice in Paris’s 7th arrondissement. Could you tell us what your specialisms are in dermatology?

I mainly treat inflammatory skin conditions, such as psoriasis, acne and eczema, which account for a significant proportion of my daily practice.

What do you enjoy most about practising dermatology?

In dermatology, a diagnosis can often be made through simple clinical observation, without necessarily resorting to further tests.

What is particularly rewarding about our profession is being able to help patients live better with a condition that, while it may well be a skin condition, is often highly debilitating in everyday life.

Our work has a real and tangible impact on their quality of life.

We have a real impact on their quality of life.

What does Aroma-Zone mean to you?

To me, Aroma-Zone embodies an eco-conscious brand, an expert in natural ingredients, and committed to transparency.

Its educational approach, which is both scientific and accessible to the general public, is particularly interesting.

What motivated you to join the Aroma-Zone College of Dermatologists?

I was won over by a new approach that places both the patient and the planet at the heart of the project, with a genuine commitment to doing things in a responsible and consistent manner.

In your opinion, what is the essential skincare step for maintaining healthy skin?

Look after your skin every day and don’t neglect it. A simple, regular and personalised routine is often the key to maintaining its health.

Which dermo-cosmetic active ingredient do you most frequently recommend to your patients?

I very often recommend vitamin A. In dermo-cosmetics, it is generally used in the form of retinol or its derivatives, which are recognised for their overall effects on skin quality: improving skin texture and radiance, and providing anti-ageing benefits.
