Zinc oxide is used in dispersion in creams, balms, or sticks.

Making loose or pressed powder with zinc oxide

Zinc oxide can be used as a white base in all your loose or pressed powders.

Mix the zinc oxide with the other powders. For mixtures containing pigments (ochres, oxides), it is advisable to grind them in a mortar or coffee grinder to ensure a good colour consistency.

Making a zinc oxide cream

Zinc oxide is used in dispersion in creams.

For better dispersion in the cream, pre-disperse the zinc oxide in a little water before adding it at the end of the preparation, in the cooled emulsion. It is also possible to disperse the zinc oxide in the aqueous phase before forming the emulsion.

Making a balm or stick with zinc oxide

Zinc oxide is used in dispersion in balms or sticks.

Add the zinc oxide to the melted mixture at the same time as the other pigments, then stir well to homogenise before pouring the stick.

Storage

Store at room temperature away from moisture and light. Close the bag tightly after use.

Precautions

• This is a powdery product; do not use near a source of ventilation.

• Wearing gloves, goggles, and a dust mask is strongly recommended.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not swallow or inhale, and avoid contact with the eyes.

• Dangerous. Follow the precautions for use.

• Very toxic to aquatic organisms, causes long-term adverse effects (in the event of a large spill of the product into a watercourse).
