• Appearance: clear, runny liquid, which can crystallise easily depending on the temperature (to prevent crystallisation, warm the oil slightly by running the bottle under a stream of hot water).

• Colour: transparent to brown

• Odour: characteristic of thyme

Storage

Essential oils are sensitive to UV radiation and to the gradual evaporation of their volatile constituents. It is therefore essential to store your essential oils in a dark glass or aluminium bottle with a tightly fitting cap, at a temperature between 5°C and 40°C (41°F and 104°F).

Precautions

• Do not use on pregnant or breast-feeding women or children.

• Dermocaustic: never use undiluted on the skin. Always use well diluted on the skin (max 20% for localised use over a small area).

• Very powerful, use only in small doses and for a limited period of time.

• Not recommended for patients with impaired liver function.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Avoid contact with eyes.

• Certain natural compounds contained in this essential oil may present a risk of allergy for certain sensitive individuals when the essential oil is incorporated into a cosmetic composition (in accordance with the 7th Amendment to the European Directive on cosmetic products (2003/15/EC)): limonene.

• As a general rule, always test-apply your mixture in the crease of the elbow at least 48 hours before use.

• For any use as a vapour, this powerful essential oil should be strongly diluted (max. 5%) with other milder essential oils.
