Jasmine brings a floral, fruity, animalic, and powdery heart note in perfumes.
Together with oak moss, labdanum, patchouli, and bergamot, it forms the chypre accord created by François Coty in 1917, which gave rise to a whole family of perfumes.

Native to Persia and Kashmir, the jasmine flower is called the "queen of the night" because its scent fills the air as soon as the sun sets.

White or slightly pink in colour, its heady fragrance has symbolised hope, happiness, and love for thousands of years. In fact, jasmine is considered by many Asian populations to aid spiritual elevation, but also as a valuable ally for boosting optimism. A rare and precious substance, jasmine is considered THE flower because its fragrance is rich, complex, and captivating.

Having made the fortune of the town of Grasse between the 17th and 20th centuries, it is now mainly cultivated in Egypt, where pickers harvest its delicate flowers by hand at sunrise in order to preserve its intense fragrance as faithfully as possible.

Widely used in perfumery, jasmine forms the heart of many prestigious fragrances, usually in combination with rose, to which it adds a floral, fruity, animalic, and powdery note.

As an ingredient in your cosmetic preparations, it will add a delicious floral fragrance!

Precautions

Certain natural compounds contained in this absolute may present a risk of allergy for certain sensitive individuals when the absolute is incorporated into a cosmetic composition (according to the 7th Amendment of the European Directive on cosmetic products (2003/15/EC)): benzyl benzoate, linalool, eugenol and, to a lesser extent, benzyl alcohol, (E)-isoeugenol.
As a general rule, always test your preparation on the inside of your elbow at least 48 hours before use.
Dangerous. Follow the precautions for use.
May cause skin allergy. Causes skin irritation (risks associated with the product in its pure form). Very toxic to aquatic organisms, causes long-term adverse effects (in the event of a large spill of the product into a watercourse).

Instructions for packaging disposal

EO = Essential Oil VO = Vegetable Oil or Oily Macerate

3 drops of sandalwood essential oil
2 drops of Ylang-Ylang essential oil
1 drop of Jasmine Absolute
3 drops of orange essential oil
3 tablespoons of liquid cream or milk

Method: Mix the essential oils with the cream or milk and pour into the hot bath water.

This Victorian-era recipe does not allow us to certify that this is indeed the perfume used by the queen. But undoubtedly, in the fervor surrounding the personality of this great lady, perfumers tried out fragrances to seduce her and win over the court. The era was one of freshness and virginity in art: a rule that perfumers had to obey. It is therefore a "bouquet" composition because it brings together multiple flowers—jasmine, rose, orange blossom, iris, lavender—barely supported by a little ambergris. It is not an inexpensive perfume, but we are in the palace, beneath the gilding and among the many masterpieces of Italian art that the kings of England have always collected.

100 ml of alcohol
7 ml of neroli essential oil
0.5 ml blackcurrant bud absolute
6 ml jasmine absolute
8 ml rose absolute
5 ml of 50% iris butter (or 0.5 grams of CO2 iris extract)
3 ml amber tincture or synthetic base

Method: Mix and leave to rest for one month. Glaze by leaving your bottle in the freezer overnight, then filter using a fine paper filter. Your perfume is ready, but it is best to leave it to mature for a few months before using it.

At the racetrack, ladies wear light evening gowns and choose evanescent perfumes or fashionable bouquets. Tuberose, iris, jasmine, and rose: these were the winning quartet at the Jockey Club in the early 20th century... Admittedly, these elegant women are cheating, but deception is in the air. To balance this fireworks bouquet, sensual musk and the sweet-and-sour note of blackcurrant are added. The young woman is in full bloom, but only in appearance.

100 ml of alcohol
6 ml of rose absolute
7 ml tuberose absolute
1 ml blackcurrant bud absolute
4 ml jasmine absolute
2 ml synthetic musk

Note: You can replace synthetic musk, a raw material considered dangerous and polluting, with CO2 extract of ambrette, a 100% natural material with a scent similar to natural musk.

50 ml of wheat germ oil
6 drops of Ylang-Ylang essential oil
6 drops of geranium essential oil
3 drops of jasmine absolute

Method: Mix the ingredients well.

Use: After shampooing, rub your hair with a towel and immediately apply the poultice. Cover your head with a towel and leave on for 2 hours. Rinse.

9 g organic shea butter
6 g Camellia oil
3 g Mimosa wax
1 teaspoon of vegetable glycerin
10 drops of jasmine absolute
10 drops of Bourbon geranium essential oil
10 drops of rhododendron essential oil

Method: Melt the shea butter and mimosa wax with the camellia vegetable oil in a double boiler over low heat. Remove the pan from the heat when the wax has melted and wait for the mixture to cool. Add the vegetable glycerin, absolute, and two essential oils, then mix everything together with a mini whisk. Immediately pour the mixture into a 15 ml jar before it hardens.

Ylang Ylang essential oil: 1 teaspoon
Patchouli essential oil: 15 drops
Sandalwood essential oil: 15 drops
Jasmine absolute: 5 drops
Rose essential oil: 5 drops
Vodka or brandy: 2 tablespoons
Distilled water: 2 teaspoons
Glycerin: 1/4 teaspoon

Method: Mix the ingredients in a 60 ml bottle. Shake and leave to rest for 2 to 6 months to allow it to mature properly. Please note that the initial smell is nothing like the final fragrance.

1 ounce (≈ 30 ml) of sesame oil
4 drops of sandalwood essential oil
2 drops of German chamomile
1 drop of benzoin oleoresin or absolute
1 drop of jasmine absolute
1 drop of St. John's Wort essential oil
1 drop of ylang-ylang essential oil

Method: Mix the essential oils with the vegetable oil in a clean bottle.

Use: Massage the body daily with this oil as needed.

30 ml of Jojoba oil
20 ml evening primrose oil
10 to 20 drops maximum of any of the following three essential oils:
Rosewood essential oil (goes well with bergamot, peppermint, and honey)
Chamomile essential oil (goes well with geranium, rose, lavender, and patchouli)
Rose essential oil (goes well with geranium, bergamot, and jasmine)

Method: Mix all ingredients together.

Use: Oil for the body, face, or massage.

5 drops of rose geranium essential oil
2 drops of ylang-ylang or jasmine essential oil

Use: Very rich and nourishing, this oil is suitable for all skin types, regulates sebum secretion, and has a softening and anti-wrinkle effect. Before applying a few drops of this oil, remember to moisten the eye area with a little water (to moisturize the skin).

100 ml of sweet almond or jojoba oil
3 drops of patchouli essential oil
3 drops of sandalwood essential oil
2 drops of jasmine absolute
1 drop of coriander essential oil

Method: Pour all the oils into a bottle. Close and shake vigorously.

Use: After showering or bathing, massage into damp skin to help the oil penetrate.
