Storage

Essential oils are sensitive to UV radiation and to the gradual evaporation of their constituents. It is therefore essential to store your essential oils in a sealed coloured glass or aluminium bottle at a temperature of between 5°C and 40°C.

Precautions

• Photosensitising: do not expose yourself to the sun or UV rays for at least 8 hours after applying this oil to the skin. For cosmetic use, it is recommended to use Grapefruit essential oil without furocoumarins.

• May cause irritation, always dilute well for skin use.

• Do not use during the first three months of pregnancy.

• Grapefruit essential oil is sensitive to oxidation: store in a cool (you can store it in the fridge), dry place away from light.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Certain natural compounds contained in this essential oil may present a risk of allergy in certain sensitive individuals when the essential oil is incorporated into a cosmetic composition (according to the 7th Amendment of the European Directive on cosmetic products (2003/15/EC)): limonene, benzyl benzoate and, to a lesser extent, linalool, citral (geranial and neral).

• As a general rule, always test-apply your mixture in the crease of the elbow at least 48 hours before use.
