Eco Nail Polish Remover

Nail varnish is made up of synthetic resins, plasticisers and solvents, etc.

To remove nail varnish, you need to use ingredients with good solvent properties. Acetone, which is inexpensive and highly effective, is the most widely used, but its drying effects on the skin and nails and its high volatility, which make it irritating to the eyes and respiratory tract as well as being highly flammable, are prompting manufacturers to offer more and more 'acetone-free' nail varnish removers. Most of these are based on ethyl acetate, another highly volatile solvent with similar drawbacks.

Our Eco-Friendly Nail Varnish Remover is made from ethyl lactate, also a flammable solvent, but much less volatile than acetone and ethyl acetate, so with less risk of ignition and less risk of irritation to the eyes and respiratory tract from the vapours. It's also much gentler on the skin and nails.

This Eco-Friendly Nail Varnish Remover is also 100% plant-based, derived from the fermentation of sugar (from maize). It is approved by Ecocert for organic cosmetics.
