Why Choose a Scented Skincare Mist Rather Than a Traditional Perfume?

What Is a Scented Mist and What Is It Used For?

A scented skincare mist is a hybrid product, combining skincare and fragrance. It is generally a water-based formula to be sprayed onto the skin and, where suitable, onto the hair. It combines skincare ingredients (often moisturising, soothing, or antioxidant) with fragrance molecules (the perfume composition) to offer a holistic well-being experience. Our scented mist, for example, delivers noticeable benefits for skin and hair, while releasing a fragrance that adds a sensory dimension to the skincare routine. Unlike simple spray-on moisturisers, this fragrance is designed to last.

Good to Know: Scented skincare mists are still relatively new products on the European cosmetics market. As such, they are not subject to any specific definition or regulation. The sophistication of the formulation and the intensity of the scent, for example, can therefore vary significantly from one manufacturer to another.

Why Is It Different From Other Body Mists?

For Its Fresh and Comforting Fragrance

Our Orange Blossom Scented Body & Hair Care Mist is nothing like an orange blossom hydrosol that has been enriched with active ingredients. Designed as a fragrance in its own right, it embodies all the hallmarks and olfactory sophistication of a perfume. Its fragrance composition is built on a pyramid of notes, harmoniously distributed across the top notes (mandarin, bergamot, and petitgrain bigarade), the heart notes (neroli, jasmine, and tuberose), and the base notes (musk and sandalwood). Both fresh and comforting, this delicate olfactory blend embodies the excellence of a perfumery in Grasse, France, founded in 1975. To stay true to our ethical commitments, we chose a fragrance free of synthetic ingredients and animal-derived ingredients.

For Its High Concentration of Active Skincare Ingredients

Far more than a traditional body mist, our Orange Blossom Scented Body and Hair Care Mist delivers targeted active ingredients to the skin and hair. Selected for their moisturising and soothing properties, these ingredients add a skincare dimension to the simple act of applying fragrance. Traditional perfumes often emphasise their fragrance concentration. Our R&D teams, on the other hand, sought to strike the right balance between the formula’s active ingredients and the depth of its scent. This approach adds a skincare dimension compared with conventional fragranced mists, which focus mainly on the freshness and simplicity of applying fragrance. Few combine this with skincare benefits, particularly benefits supported by clinical testing.

For Its Clinically Proven Benefits

Because transparency guides every innovation we make, we are committed to ensuring our claims are clear and consistent with user feedback. Corneometry tests and clinical studies have helped us validate our formula's effectiveness through an independent laboratory and a panel of volunteers. The results show that our Orange Blossom Scented Body & Hair Care Mist can provide immediate, intense, and long-lasting hydration. User tests confirm that this benefit translates into noticeable improvements for those using our mist. Most users report more comfortable skin and healthier hair.

For Its Formulation and Its Premium Ingredients Sourced From Ethical Supply Chains

Our Orange Blossom Scented Body and Hair Care Mist is the result of a lengthy selection process focused on supporting controlled supply chains and developing more responsible partnerships. It stands out for the quality of the fragrant essences and skincare ingredients in its formula. For example, the tuberose extract we have chosen is produced using an exclusive manufacturing process involving bio-sourced and biodegradable solvents. The sandalwood essential oil is certified organic and comes from an FSC-certified plantation that incorporates a water recycling system designed to minimise its environmental impact. The formula’s base goes far beyond conventional water: it uses seawater from Noirmoutier, renowned for its unique remineralising complex of 12 electrolytes. Polyglutamic acid, meanwhile, is produced through non-GMO fermentation using cane sugar and Bacillus subtilis. This 100% naturally derived active ingredient is composed of D-glutamic acid and L-glutamic acid.

Can Anyone Use This Scented Skincare Product?

Good to Know: This product is suitable for both teenagers and adults aged 12 and over. However, we do not recommend it for pregnant or breastfeeding women. • For Application to the Skin: Our Orange Blossom Scented Body & Hair Care Mist is suitable for dry, dehydrated, normal, and combination skin. However, it is not suitable for sensitive skin, particularly due to the presence of essential oils

  • For Use on Hair: It is suitable for all hair types, including those considered more fragile and prone to breakage, such as curly, frizzy, and tightly curled hair

This Product Might Be Right for You If...

You Find Classic Perfumes Too Overpowering?

Perhaps you’re one of those people who are quickly put off by a scent that’s too overpowering in your surroundings. Certain notes may even give you a headache when you smell them all day. Giving up conventional perfumes might help you regain a sense of olfactory calm, but you are perfectly entitled to feel frustrated at not being able to treat yourself to pleasant scents from time to time.

Our Orange Blossom Scented Body & Hair Care Mist could offer a more balanced compromise for scent sensitivity. Less overpowering than a perfume, it subtly accompanies you throughout your day, like a delicate fragrant halo. On the other hand, it generally lasts less than an eau de parfum. You can therefore use it as a touch-up to refresh your scent without risking it feeling overpowering from the first spritz.

You Want to Save Time With a 3-in-1 Scented Skincare Product?

In everyday life, you always choose the quickest, most essential options. In fact, those around you say you’re pragmatic. And indeed, you’re likely a fan of minimalism, including in your bathroom: just a few products, but the right ones. And as you’re often in a rush in the mornings, you have to choose between applying perfume, moisturising your skin or moisturising your hair. If this daily dilemma is starting to get you down, our mist might just be the solution you’ve been hoping for.

As the ultimate hybrid product, our Orange Blossom Scented Body & Hair Care Mist lets you apply fragrance, moisturise your skin, and care for your hair in a single step. One product replaces three steps. So you not only save time every morning, but you also boost your wellbeing. What’s more, you don’t have to wait to see the benefits of your new skincare routine. From the very first use, you’ll feel an immediate sensation of freshness. Hydration is also instant: +153%, for skin that gradually becomes more supple and hair that feels softer.

You No Longer Trust Conventional Perfumery

Like many of us, you’re particularly careful about what you apply to your skin every day. You’re probably a keen user of INCI analysis apps, such as Yuka, which help you make more informed purchasing decisions. You’ve also noticed that your favourite perfumes are consistently given poor ratings. Ever since you became aware of the regulatory grey area surrounding the term perfume on an ingredients list, you’ve been wary of conventional perfumery. You’ve therefore made the painful decision to give it up, but you miss the pleasure of wearing perfume.

Our Orange Blossom Scented Body & Hair Care Mist is made from 100% naturally derived ingredients. It contains no phthalates or UV filters, ingredients which are frequently criticised in conventional perfumery and suspected of acting as endocrine disruptors. We have also replaced the alcohol base found in eau de parfum with seawater from Noirmoutier to be gentler on the skin. Our mist is vegan and rated 76/100 on Yuka. Although it is intended to be more ethical and responsible than some conventional perfumes, our mist still contains fragrances and allergens. In particular, it contains essential oils; therefore, it is not suitable if you have sensitive skin, are pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Good to Know: We have worked with premium raw materials, often certified organic, and sourced from ethical supply chains, blended by a historic perfumery in the town of Grasse, which is considered as the French capital of perfume.

Tips for Applying Your Scented Water Every Day

How Do You Apply a Scented Body Mist so That the Fragrance Lasts Longer?

Moisturise your skin with a body lotion, milk, or cream just before applying your fragrance. Choose a fragrance-free formula if you’d prefer to let the scent profile of your eau de parfum shine through. For added depth, however, you can still opt for a scented moisturiser. Layering the two scents will give the notes of your mist a whole new dimension.

How Do You Choose a Scented Mist That Leaves You Smelling Lovely Without Being Overpowering?

It is above all the way you apply the mist that makes the difference when it comes to a potentially overpowering scent. Spray your skincare mist at a distance from your nose. Focus, for example, on several areas of skin on your forearms or lower body. Avoid applying it to your neck, behind your ears, on the nape of your neck or on your hair. Ideally, limit yourself to one or two sprays.

How Can You Use a Scented Body Mist Without Risking Staining Your Clothes?

Avoid spraying the mist too close to your clothes. Hold it about twenty centimetres away to achieve a very fine mist. As a precaution, do not apply the formula to the most delicate fabrics, such as silk, linen, or satin. Although our formula contains no colourants or UV filters, the natural balms, resins, and oils may leave visible marks on clothing if used incorrectly.

Can a Scented Mist Dry Out Your Skin and Hair?

A Trichologist’s Advice

To What Extent Can Using a Conventional Hair Mist or Perfume Affect the Quality and Appearance of Your Hair?

"Regular use of a conventional hair mist or perfume can affect the condition of the hair due to the frequent presence of denatured alcohol, solvents and potentially irritating fragrance molecules. These substances can alter the scalp’s hydrolipidic film and disrupt its physiological balance, particularly by slightly altering its natural pH. This can weaken the scalp’s ecosystem, contribute to the gradual dehydration of the hair shaft and increase the porosity of the hair lengths. In the long term, this can result in drier, duller, and more brittle hair, especially if applied repeatedly directly to the hair or close to the scalp. It is therefore preferable to opt for hair mists or perfumes formulated with natural ingredients, in order to maintain the scalp’s balance and preserve the quality of the hair shaft."

Precautions

As with any new product you introduce into your bathroom, carry out a sensitivity test before using our Orange Blossom Scented Body & Hair Care Mist for the first time. Spray a small amount of the fragranced water onto the crook of your elbow. Wait 48 hours to ensure there is no skin reaction.

Expert Advice

When reapplying, avoid spraying your scented skincare mist in the same spot. Instead, vary where you spray so each area gets a dose of nourishing care. This technique also allows you to tailor the intensity of your scent to your preferences. Spray the neck for a bold presence, the hair for a wide diffusion, and the forearms for a more subtle floral aura.
