Blueberry & Rosemary Lemonade with Baobab: a refreshing, antioxidant-rich drink

Fizzy, fruity and refreshing, this lemonade puts a new spin on summer drinks with the juicy flavour of blueberries and the aromatic notes of fresh rosemary. Baobab powder adds a tangy and nutritious touch that enhances this light, thirst-quenching recipe.

Recipe for blueberry & rosemary lemonade with baobab

Ingredients (makes 1 litre)

  • 150g blueberries 

  • Juice of 2 lemons 

  • 2 tbsp agave syrup 

  • 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary 

  • 2 tsp baobab powder

  • 750ml cold sparkling water 

  • Ice cubes

Preparation


  1. Blend the blueberries with the lemon juice and agave syrup. Strain through a fine sieve. 

  2. Add the baobab powder and whisk thoroughly. 

  3. Pour into a jug with the rosemary and ice cubes. 

  4. Top up with sparkling water just before serving.

The baobab boosts the vitamin C content of this lemonade, which is essential for collagen synthesis. The anthocyanins in blueberries strengthen capillaries and improve microcirculation, helping to promote an even complexion. Rosemary provides the antioxidant rosmarinic acid.
