Shake the herbal tea before using it.
Heat the water so that it is simmering but not boiling.
For one cup, we recommend brewing 1 teaspoon of Organic Spiced Rooibos Herbal Tea.
Pour the hot water over the plant mixture and leave to infuse for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on your taste.
Organic Rooibos combined with a selection of natural spices from different continents, offering a unique blend of flavours and a comforting taste.
Red Rooibos
Rooibos is an iconic shrub from South Africa. Its leaves are used in infusions to make a beverage known as red tea, despite its lack of theine. Rooibos has a smooth, mellow flavour, with subtle notes of hazelnut and vanilla.
Ginger
Native to India, ginger is a spice that goes well with all foods, sweet or savoury. It has a fresh, lemony, spicy flavour. As an infusion, its taste is milder, bringing freshness and liveliness.
Ceylon cinnamon
Its bark, in the form of rolled sticks or tubes, releases an incomparable fragrance and aroma. Its characteristic flavour delicately enhances the Rooibos, giving it a smooth, sweet and evocative note. Ceylon cinnamon, originally from Sri Lanka, is reputed to be the most aromatic cinnamon and the richest in benefits.
Clove
Clove is the flower bud of the clove tree, named after its shape. Its spice is reminiscent of the winter season and blends wonderfully with the scent of citrus fruit. In addition to its culinary properties, cloves have many applications and are used for their therapeutic properties in a wide range of fields.
Star anise
Also known as badiane, star anise takes its name from its pretty symmetrical star shape and its gentle aniseed aroma. Its flavour is lighter than that of green anise and has warmer notes that evoke liquorice. Star anise is traditionally used in mulled wine and also makes a beautiful garnish for drinks.
It originates from China and should not be confused with Japanese star anise, which can be toxic.
Pink peppercorn
Admire these magnificent red berries in spiced rooibos herbal tea. Sometimes mistakenly called 'pink pepper', their flavour is reminiscent of pepper, with sweeter, fruitier and woodier notes.
Black pepper
A common spice for seasoning and spicing up dishes, the small berry of black pepper adds character and strength to herbal tea. Its spicy taste is due to the presence of a molecule called piperine, which takes its name from the botanical name of black pepper: Piper nigrum.
Bourbon vanilla
The queen of desserts, vanilla is the most commonly used spice, especially in pastries. Vanillin is vanilla's main aromatic molecule, which can be extracted using natural processes or reproduced by chemical synthesis. Both methods are used to obtain flavourings. Flavourings are more common in the food industry because they are less expensive than the raw product, but they do not reproduce the full range of aromas of a raw vanilla pod. We have therefore chosen to add organic Bourbon vanilla beans from Madagascar to give the herbal tea the full roundness of vanilla.
Cardamom
Its seeds give off a camphorated, slightly lemony fragrance. It is considered a "cold spice". Cardamom's aromatic power is extremely powerful, and very little is needed to give it its intense flavour. It is sometimes used in certain gingerbread recipes and in Chai. It adds a note of freshness.
Aroma-Zone herbal teas: developed, manufactured, and packaged in France.
We have designed and developed our herbal teas with quality, effectiveness, and pleasure as our guiding principles. We have combined traditional herbal knowledge with scientific literature to select each of our plants according to their properties. We then adjusted the percentage of each plant to create an original, aromatic, delicious, and colorful herbal tea blend. We have opted for blends without added flavorings, so you can discover the true taste of the plants!
Our herbal tea blends are original and elegant, yet made from simple ingredients: raw plants, simply dried at low temperatures and cut. Each plant has been rigorously selected according to several criteria: organic cultivation, origin, edible plant or part of plant, and characteristic organoleptic properties (taste, color, and smell).
Our plants are grown and harvested according to organic farming specifications. To guarantee microbiological quality, our herbal teas are debacterised using a plant-friendly thermal process. Potentially pathogenic microorganisms are destroyed using saturated dry steam, i.e., water in a completely gaseous state. Finally, we regularly analyse our batches according to a rigorous control plan to ensure that they comply with regulations on contaminants, pesticides, and other toxic alkaloids. Our herbal teas are safe food products that comply with current European regulations.
Our herbal teas are made in France, in an IFS-certified factory, which guarantees the quality, traceability, and safety of our herbal teas. The plants are blended using a plant-friendly agitation system. This means that the stirring blades mix the plants to produce a consistent herbal tea without damaging, tearing, or even reducing the leaves, flowers, or other parts of the plants to dust. This allows you to admire the pretty flower buds or petals that have found their way into our herbal tea bags.
Our packaging consists of kraft paper bags or metal tins, which are recyclable and have no outer packaging. Remember to dispose of them in the appropriate recycling bin. After enjoying your infusion, we recommend placing the infused plants in your compost. The metal box is refillable, so you can refill it with your favorite herbal tea or use it for something else entirely (pencil holder, cookie jar, etc.).
