EO = Essential Oil VO = Vegetable Oil or Oily Macerate
For approximately 100 g of balm:
Sweet almond oil: 40 g
Olive oil: 30 g
Shea butter: 15 g
Beeswax: 10 g
Glycerin: 5 g
Lavender essential oil: 5 drops
Sandalwood essential oil: 5 drops
Method: Heat the wax, vegetable oils, and shea butter in a double boiler. Mix the glycerin and essential oils in a container. When the wax has melted, remove from the heat immediately. Allow to cool for a while, stirring occasionally, then add the essential oil mixture and transfer to a jar. Allow to cool.
Use: This balm can be used as a mask: apply generously to your hands, put on cotton gloves, and go to bed, leaving the balm to work.
Important notes from Aroma-Zone: Beeswax acts as an emulsifier here, helping the emulsion to "hold". However, for a much more stable and easier-to-make emulsion, we recommend using an emulsifier. In addition, to ensure the preservation of this preparation, we recommend adding a preservative.
For approximately 100 g of balm:
Shea butter: 50 g
Sweet almond oil: 30 g
Aloe vera gel: 15 g
Beeswax: 10 g
Glycerin: 5 g
Lemon essential oil: 10 drops
Evergreen cypress essential oil: 10 drops
True lavender essential oil: 5 drops
Tea tree essential oil: 5 drops
Method: Melt the shea butter and vegetable oil in a double boiler. Mix the aloe vera gel, glycerin, and essential oils in a container. When the oils begin to cool, add the essential oil mixture and transfer to a jar. Allow to cool before use. Use: This balm is perfect for applying in a thick layer to protect your feet when running or hiking, but it is also an excellent regular treatment that can be applied as an overnight mask by putting cotton socks on over the top. For serious athletes, it is also possible to prepare your feet by tanning them with fresh lemon juice.
For approximately 200 ml of mist:
Rose hydrosol: 100 ml
Verbena hydrosol: 50 ml
Sesame oil: 30 ml
Glycerin: 10 ml
Cocoa butter: 5 ml
Borax: 0.5 ml
Verbena essential oil: 20 drops
Method: Melt the cocoa butter in a double boiler, remove from heat as soon as it has melted, and add the sesame vegetable oil. Heat the verbena hydrosol without bringing it to a boil, add the borax and stir vigorously to dissolve it. Add the rose hydrosol and glycerin. Pour this mixture into the melted oils, stirring well before adding the essential oil. Pour into a sterilized bottle with a spray nozzle.
Use: Shake well before use to disperse the oils in the aqueous phase.
Important notes from Aroma-Zone: Borax is a potentially irritating raw material that is delicate to use. You can remove it from this recipe, which will then be a two-phase product. In addition, to ensure the preservation of this preparation, we recommend adding a preservative.

1 tablespoon of argan oil
1 tablespoon avocado oil
3 teaspoons of rose hydrosol

10 drops of geranium essential oil

Remove from heat and stir in the chamomile decoction using a whisk or electric mixer. Pour the mixture into a sterile container.
Storage: Keeps for 2 months.
45 g raw beetroot
3 tablespoons of vegetable glycerin
Method: Gently heat the beetroot and glycerin in a double boiler for 15 minutes, then let the mixture cool and pour it into a small jug, filtering it as you go. Then transfer it to a small container with a lid.

An ultra-refreshing lotion to use in hot weather:

1 tablespoon of witch hazel water
1 teaspoon of vegetable glycerin
1 teaspoon of rose water
2 drops of grapefruit seed extract
5 drops of rose or lavender essential oil (optional)
Method: Chop the cucumber and crush it with a pestle and mortar, then add the witch hazel, glycerin, and rose water (or blend everything in a food processor for 1 minute). At the last moment, add the grapefruit seed extract and essential oil and blend again.
Use: A light, pale green lotion that is quickly absorbed by the skin. It can be stored for a few weeks (in a cool place).
Important note from Aroma-Zone: To improve the shelf life of this product, we recommend adding a preservative.
For approximately 160 ml of lotion:
Filtered water: 150 ml
Glycerin: 5 ml
Jojoba oil: 5 ml
Apple cider vinegar: 2 ml
Essential oils suited to your hair type: 20 drops
Method: In a thoroughly sterilized spray bottle, mix the essential oils and vegetable oil, add the vinegar, glycerin, and water, and shake the bottle vigorously. Let it sit for a few days, shaking occasionally.
Use: Before each use, shake the lotion vigorously to mix the different phases. Apply to dry hair to restore bounce to curls. For best results, apply to brushed hair with your head upside down, scrunching the curls as you go. For beautiful curls, it is advisable to leave your hair natural, without brushing it, pressing it very gently between two towels to absorb excess moisture.
Important note from Aroma-Zone: To improve the shelf life of this product, we recommend adding a preservative.
25 ml (5 teaspoons) of red clay
10 ml (2 teaspoons) of vegetable glycerin
15 ml (3 teaspoons) of lavender hydrosol
5 drops of tea tree essential oil
5 drops of lemon essential oil
5 drops of grapefruit seed extract
Method: Mix all the ingredients with a wooden or plastic spoon (do not use metal as this will alter the properties of the clay).
Use: Apply once or twice a week, leave on for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
For approximately 50 ml of lotion:
Apple cider vinegar: 20 ml
Vodka: 10 ml
Superfine green clay: 5 g
Glycerin: 2 ml
Mint essential oil: 2 drops
Tea tree essential oil: 4 drops
Method: Dilute the clay with vinegar, add the vodka, glycerin, and essential oils. Mix well and pour into a small bottle.
Use: Shake the bottle before each use and dilute one tablespoon of the mixture in a quarter liter of warm filtered water and rinse your mouth with the preparation. Despite the presence of vodka, be careful not to swallow this rinse. It is of course not recommended for children.
For 50 ml of lotion:
Rose hydrosol: 30 ml
Green tea infusion: 10 ml
Agar agar powder: 0.5 ml
Aloe vera gel: 6 ml
Glycerin: 2.5 ml
Note: For the green tea infusion, set aside some of your morning tea. White and yellow teas are also suitable.
Method: Bring the hydrosol and green tea infusion to a boil. Add the agar powder and boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add the aloe vera gel and glycerin. Pour into a sterilized jar and let cool, stirring the bottle occasionally.
Use: For a tightening effect, it is advisable to store the bottle in the refrigerator.

For approximately 200 ml of lotion:

Jojoba oil: 5 ml
Glycerin: 10 ml
Rosemary essential oil: 15 drops
Lavender essential oil: 10 drops

Method: Mix all the ingredients in a sterilized bottle. Leave to rest for a few days before use.
Use: Rub into dry hair, massaging the scalp with your fingertips: massage the temples and the back of the head in circular movements, then move the skin of the scalp by keeping your hands flat along the head. This lotion combines traditionally masculine scents, but you can modify it by adding sandalwood and ylang essential oils.
Important note from Aroma-Zone: To improve the shelf life of this product, we recommend adding a preservative.
For 100 ml of shampoo:
Foaming base: 100 ml
Oat milk: 15 ml
Lavender hydrosol: 10 ml
Jojoba oil: 5 ml
Honey: 5 ml
Glycerin: 5 ml
Method: Whisk together the vegetable oil, oat milk, honey, glycerin, and hydrosol. Pour the foaming base and the mixture into a bottle and shake very gently.
Use: The phases of this shampoo separate over time, but simply shake it before use to restore its consistency. The presence of oat milk limits its shelf life. This shampoo should therefore be used quickly. To prevent the shampoo from stinging your eyes, you can wear small diving goggles, which will avoid any drama.
Recommended container: 50 ml glass jar
Vegetable glycerin: 40 g
Cane sugar: 8 mocha spoons
Manuka honey (can be replaced by honey powder dissolved in water): 1 tablespoon
Blood orange essential oil: 15 drops
Grapefruit seed extract: 2 drops
Method: Pour the vegetable glycerin and honey into the bowl, then mix with a mini whisk. Stir in the cane sugar, then add the blood orange essential oil and grapefruit seed extract. Mix well, then transfer to the jar.
