Cetyl Alcohol Emulsifier
Cetyl alcohol is used as a co-emulsifier and consistency agent to stabilise emulsions and modulate their texture. It thickens creams and creates a smooth and nourishing texture. It is normally used at 2 to 5%, in combination with another emulsifier (Emulsifying wax no. 1, no. 2 or no. 3, Emulsan), and is incorporated into the oil phase of emulsions.
