Known to the Egyptians and Greeks, who used it as a painkiller, Galbanum also grows in certain regions of Iran. Galbanum essential oil is obtained by distilling the gum-resin of an Iranian perennial plant (Ferula galbaniflua), around 1 m high. Its unique, distinctive fragrance makes it a benchmark raw material in the perfume industry.

It is mainly used as a top note or heart note, and its olfactory touch is popular in the development of green, chypre and botanical notes.

It is found in a wide range of fragrances, including floral-woody, woody-aromatic and citrus-aromatic. It is also known in aromatherapy for its stimulating and invigorating properties.

That earthy, lemony cave scent is amazing!
