Precautions

  • Not recommended during the first three months of pregnancy, while breastfeeding, and for children under 6 years old.

  • No internal use.

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • Certain natural compounds in this essential oil may present an allergy risk for sensitive individuals when the oil is incorporated into a cosmetic formulation (according to the 7th Amendment to the European Cosmetics Directive (2003/15/EC)): limonene.

  • As a general rule, always perform a patch test on the inside of the elbow at least 48 hours before use.

Wild Juniper, known as 'Cade juniper' in Provençal, grows naturally in the garrigue. Shepherds, who held the secret of distilling Cade wood, used its precious oil to protect their faces and hands from the wind and sun.

However, these spoon ratios depend on a number of factors (e.g. viscosity of the liquid, temperature, depth and size of the spoon, rheological behaviour of the liquid), and we strongly advise you to use precise measuring equipment, such as graduated test tubes, graduated pipettes, and precision scales.

Oily hair

  • 1/3 of a 125 ml bottle of foaming base

  • 10 drops lemon essential oil

  • 10 drops cypress essential oil

Directions: Top up with juniper, tosemary or thyme hydrosols.

Hair loss

  • 1/3 of a 125 ml bottle of foaming base

  • 10 drops sage essential oil

  • 8 drops juniper essential oil

  • 3 drops cedarwood essential oil

Directions: Top up with juniper, boxwood or lavender hydrosols.

Dandruff

  • 1/3 of a 125 ml bottle of foaming base

  • 8 drops cade juniper essential oil

  • 6 drops sage essential oil

  • 4 drops rose geranium essential oil

Directions: Top up with juniper or lavender hydrosols.

Anti-dandruff shampoo with tea tree and cade juniper wood (S. Macheteau)

  • 125 ml neutral cleansing base

  • 65 ml peppermint hydrosol

  • 60 ml neem carrier oil

  • 20 drops tea tree essential oil

  • 15 drops cade juniper wood essential oil

  • 17 drops vitamin E

  • 6 drops propolis plant tincture

Directions: Mix the cleansing base, hydrosol and carrier oil together. Then add the rest of the ingredients and shake vigorously.

Anti-dandruff shampoo (S. Macheteau)

Container: 250 ml transparent crystal bottle

  • 230 ml of organic neutral cleansing base

  • 10 ml of organic argan carrier oil

  • 1 moka spoon of vegetable silicone

  • 1 teaspoon of phytokeratin

  • 20 drops of Cade juniper essential oil: powerful, woody fragrance. Antiseptic and anti-dandruff, it cares for the scalp. It coats the hair fibre, leaving it shiny and radiant.

  • 20 drops of Cedar essential oil: warm, woody fragrance. Antiseptic and purifying, it stops microbial proliferation. It tightens and tones the scalp.

  • 20 drops of tea tree essential oil: powerful, resinous fragrance. A powerful antifungal agent, it purifies the scalp and calms itching. Astringent and antiseptic, it regulates sebum secretion. The scalp regains its balance.

  • 30 drops of vitamin E

Directions: Place the cleansing base, plant-based silicone and phytokeratin in a bowl and mix with a mini whisk. Add the carrier oil. Then add the drops of essential oil and vitamin E. Mix well and pour the shampoo into the bottle.

Seborrheic eczema - Scalp oil (C. Clergeaud)

Depending on the length of your hair, this mixture will give you 4 to 8 applications.

  • Sweet almond carrier oil: 200 ml

  • Cade juniper essential oil: 10 drops

How to use: Mix the ingredients. Wet the hair. Massage the oil into the hair and scalp. Wrap hair in a warm damp towel and leave on for at least 30 minutes before shampooing.

Dandruff (T. Telphon)

  • Atlas cedar essential oil: 2 ml

  • Cade juniper essential oil: 2 ml

  • Rosewood essential oil: 2 ml

Directions for use: Add this mixture to a 125 ml bottle of hair lotion recommended by your pharmacist. Shake the bottle and massage gently into the scalp morning and night. Leave on for about half an hour, then rinse.
