Aroma-Zone is B Corp™ certified

Aroma-Zone is B Corp™ certified and becomes a Mission-Led company

In 2026, Aroma-Zone reached a new milestone: becoming a mission-driven company and earning B Corp™ certification. These are two distinct steps with a shared purpose: to give a rigorous, measurable framework to what we have done for more than 25 years—helping everyone care for themselves with confidence. We build that confidence every day through accessible, effective products; high standards for formulation and safety; the open sharing of knowledge; careful management of our environmental impact; and lasting relationships with the people who contribute to our work. The B Corp™ certification and our mission-driven company status recognise how far we have come. Above all, they commit us to what comes next.

At a glance

  • In 2026, Aroma-Zone officially became a Mission-Driven Company and earned B Corp™ certification with a score of 104.2 points.

  • These two complementary initiatives give clear, rigorous, and verifiable form to a belief that has guided Aroma-Zone for more than 25 years: everyone should be able to care for themselves with complete confidence.

  • Becoming a Mission-Driven Company enshrines our Purpose and our commitments in our articles of association. B Corp™ certification, meanwhile, assesses our social and environmental impact across our entire value chain.

  • These two initiatives do not represent an end in themselves, but rather a new stage in our process of continuous improvement, which is made public and measured over time.

Mission-Driven Company

  1. What do these new developments mean?

Becoming a Mission-Driven Company enshrines our Purpose in our articles of association and establishes a Mission Committee to monitor its long-term implementation. Achieving B Corp™ certification means meeting verified standards in terms of social and environmental practices, transparency, and accountability. This certification applies to Aroma-Zone as a whole.

Together, these two initiatives form our guiding compass.

B Corp™ certification and Mission-Driven Companies: what are we talking about?

What is a Mission-Driven Company?

Mission-Driven Company status enshrines our Purpose and a number of social and environmental objectives directly within the company’s articles of association. It sets our long-term course, guides our decisions and trade-offs, and commits us to reporting on our progress. A Mission Committee, comprising various stakeholders, is responsible for monitoring the implementation of these commitments over the long term.

What does it mean to be B Corp™ certified?

B Corp™-certified companies meet verified standards in terms of social and environmental practices, transparency and accountability. The certification applies to the company itself, not its products. The standards against which Aroma-Zone was assessed take into account its governance, its teams, its contribution to the community, its environmental impact and its customer relations.

How should we interpret the score of 104.2 points achieved by Aroma-Zone?

B Corp™ certification is based on the B Impact Assessment, a tool that evaluates a company’s practices and impact across five areas:

  1. Governance

  2. Employees

  3. Community

  4. The environment

  5. Customers.

The score is out of 200 points; the minimum threshold for certification is 80 points. The score of 104.2 points achieved by Aroma-Zone was verified by B Lab as part of the certification process. This result reflects our overall performance across the five areas assessed, without implying that we have achieved a level of excellence in each of them. It is not an end in itself: it gives us a benchmark to keep improving, as part of a certification process that is regularly reassessed.

Why is Aroma-Zone becoming both a B Corp™ and a Mission-Driven Company?

Because these two approaches complement each other. The Mission-Driven Company sets our course from within, whilst B Corp™ assesses from the outside how our commitments are translated into concrete action within our business. One enshrines our purpose and our long-term objectives, whilst the other measures our impact against a rigorous set of standards. Together, they serve as a true compass, helping us to preserve what has always driven us whilst pushing us to make further progress.

Recognition of the progress made over more than 25 years

These developments are part of a journey that began in 1999 and recognise the work we have patiently carried out for over 25 years. In 2025, we embarked on a collective reflection process by listening to those who know Aroma-Zone, bring it to life, and interact with it: our staff, our customers, our partners, and the elected representatives of our historic region, the Vaucluse. This process of listening has enabled us to formalise what has always driven us: Enabling everyone to look after themselves with complete confidence. By becoming a Purpose-Driven Company and a certified B Corp™ in 2026, we are choosing to provide a sustainable framework for this Purpose and the promise of trust that goes hand in hand with it.

How do our commitments translate into concrete action?

  1. Making effective skincare accessible to as many people as possible

We have always believed that the primary form of inclusivity is economic.

Our ambition is to offer high-performance skincare products at fair prices through a model based in particular on:

    • An end-to-end controlled value chain

    • An in-house Research & Development laboratory

    • Direct relationships with numerous producers

    • Direct distribution through our shops and on our website

    • Controlled costs

    • Simple, understated packaging.

This structure enables us to focus our resources on what matters most: the quality, effectiveness and affordability of our skincare products.

  2. Sharing knowledge with transparency and integrity

Taking care of oneself also means being able to understand, choose and make decisions with full awareness. That is why we share information and advice free of charge via our website, our editorial content, our podcasts and the personalised recommendations offered both online and in-store. Our ambition? To empower everyone to make informed choices, without adding unnecessary products or overcomplicating their routines.

  3. Proving the effectiveness of our skincare products

We develop products designed to meet real needs. Depending on the products and their claims, their effectiveness may, in particular, be assessed by independent laboratories through clinical trials, instrumental tests or user trials. Our aim is simple: to offer effective natural solutions, the benefits of which are objectively demonstrated where relevant.

  4. Ensuring a high level of safety

Formulating effective skincare products whilst maintaining the highest safety standards is one of the cornerstones of our approach. Our formulation charter goes beyond certain European regulatory requirements by excluding ingredients we do not wish to use, notably certain controversial synthetic substances. Our ingredients, finished products and packaging are also subject to assessments designed to ensure they are safe to use. For some skincare products, up to 120 tests* may be carried out to detect and monitor various undesirable substances, including certain PFAS, heavy metals and solvents. Because when it comes to health and safety, certain requirements are non-negotiable for us.

    *Example: Hyaluronic Acid Serum

  5. Minimising our environmental impact

Reducing our environmental footprint involves taking action on a number of fronts simultaneously. Among the initiatives we are undertaking:

    • The environmental assessment of our products

    • Work on the biodegradability of our formulations

    • Our decarbonisation strategy

    • Reducing plastic and unnecessary packaging

    • Support for organic farming

    • Developing programmes to promote agroecology and biodiversity.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution or quick fix. We have chosen a progressive approach based on concrete actions, measured over time.

  6. Fostering lasting relationships and sharing value more effectively

Our responsibility also extends to the women and men we work with. We seek to build ethical and sustainable relationships with our producers, our business partners and our staff, with a focus on fair pay and value sharing.

Our commitments

For us, trust cannot be imposed. It is built through concrete choices – sometimes very visible, sometimes more discreet – but always guided by the same high standards.

What are Aroma-Zone’s four statutory commitments as a Purpose-Driven Company?

Aroma-Zone’s mission is based on four commitments enshrined in its articles of association:

  1. To minimise our environmental impact

  2. To foster long-term, ethical relationships with our business partners and to support, particularly through sponsorship, charitable initiatives in our local communities, for the common good.

  3. To initiate measures to improve our employees’ wellbeing at work and foster their commitment to Aroma-Zone’s Mission.

  4. To promote to our customers accessible products, formulated to the highest standards and with transparency, as well as informed consumption practices.

These four objectives give concrete expression to our Purpose and must guide our actions over the long term.

A commitment to continuous improvement

Becoming a Mission-Driven Company and a certified B Corp™ does not mean that the job is done.

These steps are not labels of excellence that would freeze us in time. On the contrary, they require us to measure our actions, report our progress, and transparently identify what we still have yet to achieve.

Each year, our mission report will enable us to track the implementation of our commitments. Our B Corp™ certification will also be subject to reassessment in accordance with the requirements of the certification process. We know we still have a long way to go. That is precisely what drives us forward.

Our promise of trust is a collective commitment

At Aroma-Zone, our promise of trust is a collective commitment. And to make this possible, every single one of us works every day to:

  • Prioritising plant extracts sourced from pesticide-free crops and supporting local producers in their transition to organic farming, to preserve biodiversity, soil and water quality, and the health of farmers – this has always been essential to us.

  • Formulating highly effective skincare products without controversial ingredients is extremely complicated. But this has been the hallmark of our R&D teams from the very beginning.

  • Carrying out up to 120 tests* to monitor for substances such as PFAS, heavy metals, and solvents, and to ensure the safety of our skincare products, requires infinite patience and a long-term commitment. But this is non-negotiable. Because your health is our priority.

  • Eliminating unnecessary packaging, reducing plastic, decarbonising our operations, and working towards making our formulas biodegradable presents a real design challenge. But we’re convinced there’s no other way forward for the world of today and tomorrow.

  • Recommending only what you need, developing only the skincare products you ask for, and sharing advice with the utmost transparency – that, too, is our definition of trust. To put the power back in your hands and enable you to make fully informed choices.

  • And manufacturing in France – that’s been our story since 1999.
