German chamomile essential oil is one of the best-known oils forskin allergies, dermatosis and itching, thanks to its chamazulene, alpha-bisabolol and alpha-bisabolol oxide content, which have powerful anti-inflammatory effects. It is also traditionally reputed to help with gastric ulcers.

German chamomile essential oil is renowned for the following health benefits:

Uses

German chamomile essential oil is traditionally used in the following situations:

  • Skin allergies, seasonal allergies

  • Hives, eczema, psoriasis, itching, skin ulcers, insect bites

  • Digestive disorders, digestive inflammation

  • Cystitis (urinary tract infection)

  • Dysmenorrhoea, amenorrhoea (painful or irregular periods)

In practice

Stomach conditions: Mix into your oil blend. Massage the stomach with the mixture.

Women's health: Mix into your oil blend. Massage the lower abdomen with the mixture.

Precautions

  • Do not use during the first 3 months of pregnancy, while breastfeeding or on children under the age of 3.

  • For internal use on therapists' advice only.

  • Not recommended in the case of a history of hormone-sensitive cancers.

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • As a general rule, always carry out a test application of your mixture in the crease of the elbow at least 48 hours before using it.

German chamomile is a small herb native to Europe and Western Asia, frequently found along roadsides and fields. It owes its name to the interest shown in it by the people of Central Europe. In Germanic and Norse mythology, it was one of the nine sacred plants given to man by the sky god Odin. Its name "matricaria" comes from the Latin "matri" meaning "mother" ,

Make in a 30-ml tinted glass bottle with dropper

  • 10 drops of mastic tree essential oil, Pistacia lentiscus
  • 10 drops of Mediterranean cypress essential oil, Cupressus sempervirens
  • 10 drops of Corsican helichrysum italicum essential oil, Helichrysum italicum
  • 20 drops of German chamomile essential oil, Matricaria recutita
  • 10 drops of Copahu balsam, Copaifera officinalis
  • 10 ml of tamanu carrier oil
  • 5 ml of calendula macerated oil
  • 23 ml of safflower carrier oil

Apply to the face in the morning and evening, massaging in gently but deeply (to encourage circulation), every day until the skin is satisfactorily treated.

  • 0.5 ml Matricaria recutita essential oil (German chamomile)

  • 1 ml Lavandula latifolia spica essential oil (Spike lavender)

  • 1 ml Eucalyptus citriodora essential oil (Lemon Eucalyptus)

  • 1 ml Mentha x piperita essential oil (Peppermint)

  • Add 100g to a powder bottle of Talc or Green Clay.

Procedure: Mix all the ingredients in a container.

Use: 2 or 3 local applications a day until complete improvement.

  • 2 ml Geranium essential oil

  • 1 ml Palmarosa essential oil

  • 1 ml Chamomile essential oil

Use: Apply a few drops of the formula (depending on the area to be treated) at least 3 times a day. Repeat as many times as necessary, without limit.

Use: Very gently apply around twenty drops of the mixture to the affected area, repeating once or twice a day.

  • Sandalwood or Parsley essential oil: 4 drops

Uses: - For a massage, heat 1/2 teaspoon of product. Massage into the sensitive area around the bladder Aroma-Zone Note: Mandarin essential oil is photosensitising, so do not expose yourself to the sun after applying this blend. Choose Bergamot essential oil without furocoumarins, which is not phototoxic. - For a bath, pour 2 tablespoons of product into hot water. Stay in the bath for 10 minutes.
